Chris Hillman, who helped to invent the So Cal country-rock genre, first as a founding member of the Byrds, then alongside Gram Parsons as a founding member of the Flying Burrito Brothers and then on to Stephen Stills’ band, Manassas In 1987 he formed The Desert Rose Band. Chris is a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Inductee who is adored equally by the bluegrass, country and classic rock fans. Herb Pedersen, a long-time friend and collaborator with Hillman, has played and sung back up for such artists as Linda Ronstadt, Emmylou Harris, Vince Gill, Johnny Rivers, Dan Fogelberg, James Taylor, Gordon Lightfoot, Jennifer Warnes and John Prine.
Eve Selis is a San Diego Favorite and a five-time San Diego Music Awards winner who dazzled audiences with her 2003 “Eve Selis and Friends” concert at Poway Center for the Performing Arts. Selis blends many styles of Americana music into her “Roadhouse Rock” style topped off by her indelible “lemonade and whiskey” voice.
