JIVANAYATRA, which means the pilgrimage of life, will be expression of the journey ofour life from childhood to godhood, depicted through the medium of classical Indian dance. You will experience the many different dance styles of India that have been blended through the choice of music to communicate the message of how our life should be guided towards our ultimate goal of Self realization.

Five dancers from Chinmaya Mission will be combining their talents to create a spiritual offering that will transport you to a higher state of awareness. They will be matched by a wonderful team of south and north Indian classical music by Babu Parameswaran, Sudakshina Alagia, Jyoti Prakas on Tabla and Radhakrishnan Ramchandran on the Flute and other musicians.

This event is a fundraiser for Chinmaya Jyoti – the Chinmaya Institute of Spiritual and Cultural Studies, which will come up in Poway over the next few years. Besides being a place of learning, it will also be a place to achieve mental tranquility through prayer and meditation.
