Artist Statement:

In my artistic odyssey spanning over three decades, I have found myself drawn to the enchanting world of nature’s intricacies. My latest series, “Miniscapes: Exploring Nature’s Details with Watercolor, Ink, Mixed Media, and Markers,” encapsulates this fascination. Through a dynamic interplay of mediums, I strive to unveil the subtle beauty that often evades the hurried glances of daily life.

My art invites you to join me in peeling back the layers of complexity that define San Diego’s nature. The allure of these regions lies not just in their grand vistas, but in the minute elements that collectively form their essence. By merging watercolor, ink, mixed media, and markers, I aim to magnify these subtleties, offering a unique perspective that encourages you to pause and engage.

As you explore my “Miniscapes,” allow yourself to escape the confines of routine and immerse in the kaleidoscope of colors and forms. I believe that art has the power to transmute the ordinary into the extraordinary, and it is my hope that my work awakens in you a renewed appreciation for the intricate beauty that surrounds us. Join me on this journey of discovery, and together, let us celebrate the harmony of nature’s delicate details and vivid hues.
