"A River Runs Through It"
March 5 - March 30
Artist: Laura Green
Located in the middle of urban development, the San Diego River watershed area stretches over 50 miles from its source in the Cuyamaca Mountains to the sea at Ocean Beach. Channelization and damming has greatly diminished the plant and wildlife diversity by disconnecting and isolating significant ecological zones. Artist Laura Green's exhibit “A River Runs Through It” visualizes this watershed region in a restored state where both people and nature co-exist.
Green’s work examines the systems of living and nonliving things which connect us. Her work raises awareness about the fragile relationships we have with each other and with nature which often go unnoticed and unappreciated.
